Silicon steel can be divided into two categories: oriented silicon steel and non-oriented silicon steel
Oriented silicon steel has strong magnetic directionality, the lowest iron loss value in the rolling direction, the highest magnetic permeability, and a high magnetic induction value under a certain magnetization field. The silicon content of grain-oriented silicon steel is about 3%, and the content of oxide inclusions in the steel is required to be low, and certain corrosion inhibitors (MnS, A1N) must be contained.
The carbon content of non-oriented silicon steel is very low, and the silicon content is between 0.8% and 4.8%. Adding silicon can increase the resistivity and maximum permeability of iron, and reduce coercivity, iron loss (iron loss), and magnetic aging. .In the deformation annealed steel sheet, the grains are randomly oriented and distributed, and silicon steel sheets with a thickness of less than 1mm are formed by hot rolling and cold rolling.
According to the application, silicon steel is divided into three categories: hot-rolled silicon steel, cold-rolled electrical steel and special-purpose silicon steel. Cold-rolled sheets have uniform thickness, good surface quality and high magnetic properties, and are gradually replacing hot-rolled sheets. Low silicon wafers contain less than 2.8% silicon and have certain mechanical strength; high silicon wafers contain 2.8%-4.8% silicon, have good magnetic properties, but are relatively brittle.
1. Hot-rolled silicon steel belongs to non-oriented silicon steel, and can be subdivided into hot-rolled low-silicon steel (motor steel) and hot-rolled high-silicon steel (transformer steel). Among them, the silicon content of hot-rolled low-silicon steel is between 1.0% and 2.5%, which is mainly used for household motors and micro motors; the silicon content of hot-rolled high-silicon steel is between 3.0% and 4.5%, which is mainly used in transformers.
2. Cold-rolled electrical steel can be divided into cold-rolled oriented electrical steel and cold-rolled non-oriented electrical steel. Cold rolled oriented silicon steel is divided into ordinary oriented silicon steel and high magnetic induction oriented silicon steel, both of which are used in large, medium and small transformers; cold rolled non-oriented electrical steel is divided into low carbon electrical steel (silicon content ≤ 0.5%) and silicon steel (silicon content of 0.5%-3.5%). Low carbon electrical steel is used for household motors, micro motors, small transformers and ballasts, and silicon steel is used for large and medium motors, generators and transformers. From the above uses, cold-rolled grain-oriented electrical steel is similar to hot-rolled high-silicon steel, both of which are used in transformers, while cold-rolled non-oriented electrical steel is similar to hot-rolled low-silicon steel, both of which are used in motors.
3. There are four kinds of special silicon steel: cold-rolled oriented silicon steel strip, cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel strip, cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel for magnetic switches and cold-rolled high silicon steel. The uses of cold-rolled oriented silicon steel strips are pulse transformers, magnetic amplifiers, high-frequency transformers and electric welding machines; the uses of cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel strips are high-frequency motors and generators; the uses of cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel for magnetic switches are relays and Magnetic switches; cold rolled high silicon steels are used for high frequency motors, transformers and magnetic shielding.
